One Big Happy

Childhood friends Lizzy, who is gay and somewhat meticulous, and Luke, who is straight and more relaxed, share a bond akin to family. During their youth, as both sets of parents went through divorces, they leaned on each other for support and have remained inseparable ever since. Now adults and still unattached, they decide to create a family together. Not in a romantic sense, but through a clinical approach to conception.

After another unsuccessful attempt to conceive, they decide to unwind at a bar. There, Luke encounters Prudence, a carefree British woman who is soon returning to England. Lizzy isn’t particularly fond of her, possibly due to Prudence’s habit of strolling around their apartment unclothed. However, Luke quickly forms a connection with her, and they spend every available moment together before her departure. Just as Lizzy learns she is pregnant, Luke reveals that he and Prudence have tied the knot. And so, an unconventional family emerges.
