Emperor of Ocean Park

The story unfolds against the backdrop of political intrigue, prestigious Ivy League circles, and the scenic shores of Martha’s Vineyard. It follows Talcott Garland, a law professor at an Ivy League institution, whose peaceful existence is upended by the sudden death of his father, Judge Oliver Garland, seemingly from a heart attack. Tal’s sister, Mariah, a former journalist with a penchant for conspiracy theories, suspects that their father, who was once a Black nominee for the Supreme Court but never appointed, may have been murdered.
