The Last Family

Beksiński, a mild-mannered man with a fear of spiders, harbors intense sexual fantasies and a passion for creating unsettling dystopian art. As a devoted family man, he strives to provide the best for his beloved wife Zofia, their anxious son Tomasz, and the couple’s elderly mothers. His routine of painting to classical music eventually earns him recognition in the contemporary art scene. Zofia, a devout Catholic, works tirelessly to keep the family united, but their son Tomasz presents challenges with his aggressive behavior and threats of self-harm. Their respite is short-lived when Tomasz begins dating and takes on roles as a radio host and film translator, requiring his parents to remain vigilant to protect him from himself. Beksiński, however, never expected family life to be without its struggles. As he documents everything with his cherished camcorder, the 28-year journey of the Beksiński family unfolds through art, brushes with death, evolving music trends, and farewells…
